One idea, held for five days, then released on the sixth evening.
How the Journey Unfolds
I
Temple — Chiang Rai

Two temples, ten minutes and a lifetime apart.
II
Tea — Mae Salong

A cabin inside the plantation, two kilometres above a village that came from Yunnan in 1961.
III
Coffee — Doi Chang

Fifteen hundred metres, a valley that performs twice a day.
IV
Rice — Mae Taeng

Lunch beside the fields, then six hundred feet above them. In the morning, an elephant is walked to the door.
V
Sky — Chiang Mai

Ten thousand lanterns leaving the ground at once.

The Climax
Eight days that climb, and one evening they climb towards.
The Designer's Note
Three decisions were made on the client's behalf: the evening comes first, the week is built backward from it, and the afternoon before it is left deliberately empty — the most expensive decision in the itinerary.
Closing Act
The city holds the last two nights on purpose — one for the sky, one for nothing at all.
